Splash water test

Splash water tests are used to determine the degree to which bodies, capsules or other units are protected against liquids. They can also be used as a kind of local shock test to subject special parts or areas of test objects to thermal change. Liquids of different composition may be used as splash media, e.g. demineralized water, drinking water, sea water, anti-freezing agent or suspensions of fine dust and water. Splash water tests are used i.a. in the automotive industry to test the ever growing amount of weatherproof electronic parts.
