Water immersion test
Water immersion tests are used to check the leak tightness and temperature change durability of cases, enclosures or similar units. They could also be used as a shocktest. Different media can be used as the immersion medium e.g. deionised water, drinking water, salt water, antifreeze fluids or suspensions of fine dust and water. Immersion tests are often done in a cyclic change with thermal stress (air). Immersion tests are often used in the automotive industry or hydraulic engineering.
