Vacuum / Pressure Test

Negative pressure or positive pressure tests are performed to simulate high altitudes or immersion in water with immersion simulations. They are preferably used for aerospace parts (altitude test).

Climbing and descending flights with constant pressure are used to test the transport of air cargo. Devices that are subjected to pressure fluctuations are tested by a rapid pressure difference (Rapid Decompression), while some devices have to prove their suitability by flying out of flaps in milliseconds (Explosive Decompression). Airborne altitudes of up to 30km above sea level can be simulated. The additional influence of cold air down to -55°C can thus result in a true-to-life simulation at high altitude.
