The signing of the agreement for the acquisition of TechnoLab by the NMi Group, subject to regulatory review, represents an important step for us in further expanding our testing capabilities.
At TechnoLab, our focus is particularly on specialized environmental testing, such as blowing sand and dust, as well as on demanding applications in the aerospace and defense sectors. With the NMi Group at our side, we will be able to combine these strengths with expanded testing capabilities in the future.
Our existing capabilities in the field of vibration and shock testing will be effectively complemented, in particular, by the high-performance, large-scale shaker systems from Phoenix Testlab GmbH. This will enable us to meet even more extensive and demanding test requirements in the future—combined with the group’s many years of EMC expertise.
For our customers, this means that environmental testing, mechanical stress testing, technical analysis, and EMC requirements can be more closely integrated and efficiently implemented in the future.
This provides our customers with the following benefits:
- More efficient project workflows
- Shorter coordination channels
- Greater test coverage
- More comprehensive product qualification
- Realistic testing of complex systems
This creates a robust testing network, particularly for applications in aviation, defense, and safety-critical electronics, which ideally complements our existing expertise and opens up new opportunities for our customers.
TechnoLab has provided financial support to the Hennigsdorf & Velten School Support Association for the restoration of an old 1936 Plymouth P2 Deluxe Sedan. In this project initiated by the teacher Kromm-Hewelt, the trainees of the Eduard-Maurer-OSZ, where TechnoLab's trainees are also taught, are working on the car.
Among other things, the money was used to purchase spare parts to make the old chassis roadworthy again. But that's all that can be described as a "classic car", because a V8 cylinder engine with 380 hp was installed in order to drive the car in quarter-mile races.
At the weekend in Finowfurt (race61-finowfurt.de), the time had finally come: the team performed well, finishing under 8.7 sec/quarter mile
